The green hills of the Požega Valley were formed by massive glaciers descending from the surrounding mountains, especially Krndija and Papuk, in a north-south direction towards the valley of the River Orljava.

A pleasant altitude 200-330 metres above sea level, a predominantly southern exposure and a continental climate characterised by a gradual transition from summer to autumn and a higher average temperature in autumn than in spring create the perfect conditions for the cultivation of grapevines.
